CLEVELAND, Ga. (January 22, 2026) – The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team is set to begin their 2026 season on Friday, where they will travel to compete in a two-day tournament hosted by No. 9 Campbellsville University.

Men's volleyball had a historic season under new head coach
Michael Shea finishing the season with a record of 10-12, 5-9 AAC, the best record since the addition of the sport in 2021. 
Alex Bosman was named to the AAC All-Conference Second Team, while three Bears were named to the AAC All-Academic Team (Bosman,
Troy McAlister, and
Adam Shuman). Amongst the core group of returners for the Bears are seniors Bosman and Shuman, along with junior
Troy McAlister and sophomore
Christopher Zambrana. TMU will be welcoming seven incoming Bears to the program including 2025 transfer from Cowley College,
Eduardo Andrade.Â

On Friday, the Bears will face Campbellsville University at 12:00 p.m. and Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College at 3:00 p.m., followed by back-to-back matchups against Oakland City University at 10:00 a.m. and Brescia University 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25. TMU will host their first home match on Wednesday, January 28 against North Greenville University at 7:00 p.m. inside the Harris Athletic Complex.
