CLEVELAND, Ga. (February 13-14, 2026) – The Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team picked up two wins inside the Harris Athletic Complex this weekend, defeating Bluefield (Va.) in five sets on Friday before earning a straight-set sweep of Carolina University on Saturday. TMU rises to an overall record of 2-5, 2-1 AAC.

Bluefield used a late scoring run to take the opening set, but the Bears quickly responded in the second. A strong service stretch from Adam Schuman, along with efficient swings from
Eduardo Andrade and
Troy McAlister, powered TMU to a commanding 25-14 set win to even the match. Set three featured multiple lead changes before TMU gained control late behind key kills from Andrade and
Alex Bosman. Strong net play from
Jed Bailey slowed the Rams' attack as the Bears moved in front 25-21. Bluefield forced a fifth set by narrowly taking the fourth despite a late push that saw Andrade and Schuman help tie the score at 23-23. In the decisive fifth set, TMU seized momentum early. Consecutive kills from Andrade and Bosman, paired with another Schuman service ace, sparked a match-clinching run 15-8.
LEADERS
Eduardo Andrade recorded a match-high 19 kills followed by Bosman who posted a double-double with 14 kills and 13 digs. Schuman finished with 12 kills and three service aces.
Jed Bailey totaled seven blocks while
Christopher Zambrana recorded 45 assists, while
Alexi Sassier collected 20 digs.

After an early back-and-forth start in the first set, the Bears used a scoring run behind
Sam Taylor, McAlister, and Bailey to build separation. Back-to-back blocks from Bailey and Bosman helped close the set (25-14). TMU carried the momentum into the second set as Zambrana directed the offense at an efficient pace. Consecutive kills from Bosman and a
Troy McAlister service ace extended the lead before TMU closed the set on a late run, 25-14. The Bruins opened the third with early points, but a service ace from Sassier and kills from Taylor and Bosman quickly shifted control back to the Bears. Strong play at the net and another Zambrana ace created the final separation before late kills from Taylor and
Ayden Thomason sealed the sweep, 25-18.
LEADERS
Taylor led the attack with 12 kills and seven digs followed by Bosman who matched 12 kills and added a block assist. McAlister tallied seven kills, two service aces, and a solo block, while Bailey finished with six kills and a block assist. Zambrana totaled 34 assists while Sassier recorded 17 digs.
