NAIA
Truett McConnell University and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics

Truett McConnell University has been a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate
Athletics since 2009. With close to 300 colleges, universities, and conferences, and 60,00 athletes, the NAIA provides TMU with a broad and competitive playing field.

The NAIA seeks to provide an environment where athletes, coaches, and fans are committed
to integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

TMU and the NAIA Align
In 2000, the NAIA created the Champions of Character Program in hopes of advancin character- driven athletes. This program instills the five core values - integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership - at the heart of the athletic experience.

Truett McConnell athletics has embodied a character-driven athletic department similar to that of the NAIA, with an emphasis on discipleship, academic excellence, service to others, and academic competition.
