CLEVELAND, Ga. (Mar. 17, 2022) - The Truett McConnell University women's lacrosse team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent Tennessee Wesleyan University on Thursday, where the Lady Bears bested TWU with a final score of 19-5.

The Lady Bears started strong in the first quarter, with Hope Frady, Sophie Beach and Cameron Lee putting up seven goals while only allowing one goal from the Bulldogs (7-1) In the second quarter, the Bears continued strong as they scored seven more goals by Frady, Beach, Lee, and Holly Foster. The Lady Bears continued to hold the Bulldogs to a one goal quarter with a score of 14-2 going into the half.
Lee recorded three goals making the score 17-3 going into the fourth. The fourth quarter saw good goals by Frady and Beach that helped seal the Lady Bears demolishing win over the Bulldogs,making the final score 19-5.
LEADERS
Frady led the way with eight goals, taking 10 shots, nine on goal, with seven ground balls, and one assist. Lee followed with five goals, seven shots, all on goal, six ground balls, and one assist. Beach had four goals, with seven shots, all on goal, three ground balls, and two assist. Foster had two goals and five ground balls. Goalie Madison Franklin had seven saves on the day.
