GREENSBORO, N.C. (February 28, 2026) – On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University women's lacrosse team traveled to face Greensboro College for a non-conference match-up where the Lady Bears recorded their first win of the 2026 season, 16-6. TMU rises to an overall record of 1-2, 0-0 AAC.

Aisley Whipple opened scoring for the Lady Bears midway through the first quarter, but Greensboro answered with three straight goals to take a 3–1 lead.
Marlo McBrayer stopped the run with a player-up goal in the final minutes of the period to cut the deficit to 3–2.
Josslyn Munn evened the score early in the second quarter sparking a dominant stretch for TMU. McBrayer followed with four more goals in the second quarter sending TMU into the break with a 7–3 advantage.

McBrayer continued her big day with the first goal of the third quarter, while Munn added a score to extend the lead to 9–3. After Greensboro found the back of the net,
Natalie Thompson converted on a opportunity off an assist from Munn. The teams traded goals late in the period before Whipple capped the quarter with her second goal, giving TMU an 11–5 lead. Whipple struck again early in the fourth to push the margin to seven. Greensboro answered, but McBrayer quickly responded to keep the momentum on the Lady Bears' side. Munn added another goal and later scored her fourth of the game, while McBrayer netted her eighth in between to close out a commanding second-half performance as TMU secured the 16–6 victory.

LEADERS
McBrayer led the way with eight goals, taking 15 shots with 11 on goal, while tallying 11 ground balls. Munn was featured contributing four goals and one assist, while Whipple had three goals and Thompson had one goal.
