OXFORD, Miss. (April 5, 2025) - On Friday-Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men's and women's track and field teams traveled to compete in the Joe Walker Invitational, hosted by the University of Mississippi where the Bears and Lady Bears recorded multiple top performances.
Most notable on the men's side, senior Connor Morgan was featured punching his individual ticket to the NAIA National Championship in the 800m race for the third consecutive season after recording a time of 1:51.99. Elijah Goddard, 200m dash NAIA National Qualifier, showed his grit in the 200m dash with a sixth place finish after recording a time of 21.35. In the men's shot put throw, Dylan Simms finished eighth with a mark of 16.14 meters. On the women's side, Myesha Hall led the way recording a second place finish in the long jump (6.30m) setting a new program and personal record. Hall currently leads the NAIA in the event.

TMU will travel to Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday, April 12, to compete in the Gamecock Invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina.
