MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 19, 2025) – On Thursday-Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men's track and field team traveled to compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament hosted by Milligan University, where the Bears finished fourth of 11 teams after recording a team score of 115 points.

Junior
Dylan Simms was featured earning the title of AAC Field Athlete of the Year after being crowned the individual champion in the men's shot-put a with a mark of 16.18m, while also earning fifth place finishes in both the javelin (44.99m) and discus (44.84m) throws. Freshman
Elijah Goddard also earned the title of AAC Track Athlete of the Year after securing the individual championship titles in the 100m dash with an NAIA Nationals A Standard time of 10.35, and in the 200m dash with a time of 21.11.

The Bears were also featured recording multiple podium finishes.
Connor Morgan finished second in the 400m with a time of 48.40 and fourth in the 800m with a time of 1:51.67.
Tyler Crow finished second in the pole vault event with a height of 4.05m and third in the men's decathlon with 4,784 points.
Brandyn Jackson finished fourth in the 110 hurdles (15.44), while the 4x400m relay team (
Nathan Nix,
Bryson Swartz,
Elijah Nelson, Morgan (3:17.46)) finished in second and the 4x100m relay team (
Wyatt Pitts, Goddard,
Brett Wilgus, Jackson (41.29)) and the 4x800m relay team (Morgan,
Luke Palmer, Nix, Swartz (7:56.16)) both finished in third.

TMU T&F will head to Fayetteville, Arkansas on Friday April 25, to compete in the John McDonnell Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.
