MOUNT BERRY, Ga. (March 8, 2025) – On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men's track and field team traveled to compete in the Victor Ice Breaker Duals hosted by Berry College.Â

Most notable, junior
Dylan Simms was featured punching his individual ticket to the NAIA National Championship in the men's shot-put throw with a mark of 16.35m, securing a second-place finish. Simms was also featured recording a second-place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 42.27m.

In the men's pole vault,
Tyler Crow was featured recording a first-place finish with a mark of 3.83m. The 4x400m relay team, featuring
Matthew Bryant,
Bryson Swartz,
Elijah Nelson and
Connor Morgan, finished in first place with a time of 3:23.09.
Brandyn Jackson was seen finishing in second place in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.41, while also earning a second-place finish in the triple jump (13.47m). Morgan was featured individually recording a third-place finish in the 400m race with a time of 50.57, while Swartz finished third in the 800m race (1:59.39). In the discus throw, Micheal Gilmore finished in third (41.78m), while
Marco Flores finished in third in the steeple chase (10:34.56).
