TMU makes history with first program victory over Capitol Tech

CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 22, 2023) - On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University competitive gaming team competed against Capitol Technology University in a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 showdown, where the Bears banded together to clinch the programs first ever team victory with a final score of 3-1.

"We have been focusing on our transitions on Hardpoint and those were the rounds we really shined," said Head Coach Joseph Winkler. "John Mark Caner and Katie Neal led in kills, while Grayson Freeman and Will Manhken played objectives. We would like to give all the glory to God because we have really gained lots of ground this year as a team."

The Bears dominated on both Hardpoints by at least 80 points, fell short 5-6 in Search and Destroy but bounced back in Control with a score of 3-2.

Up next, TMU will compete in the region playoff in CoD MW2. Date and time TBA.
