Bears compete at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. (April 8-9, 2022) — The Truett McConnell men's track & field team traveled to compete at the Duke Invitational, hosted by Duke University on Friday-Saturday. 

Leading the way for the Bears was Sharod Cobb, who placed sixth in the 400m hurdles with a time of 54 seconds. The men's 4x100m relay team featuring Joe Parrilla, Cameron Alamia, Keishon Franklin, and Keontrae Clayton also claimed a sixth place finish with a time of 41.12 seconds. Franklin individually placed 10th in the 200m dash while also punching his ticket to NAIA Nationals in May. (21.55) he was followed by Alamia in 13th. (21.62)

In the 100m dash, Alamia placed tenth with a time of 10.60 seconds. Jabari Williams finished 15th in the triple jump with a mark of 13.51m. Rounding out TMUs results, Kyle Stringer placed 20th in the discus throw with a mark of 42.36m.

Up next, the Bears travel to Kennesaw, Ga on Friday, April 15 – Saturday, April 16, to compete at the Kennesaw State Invitational.
