Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 | Box Score 3 Box Score Dayton, TN. / The Truett McConnell Bears baseball team traveled to Dayton, TN. to take on Bryan College for the AAC opener. 
 
Game 1
 
Bryan jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning against Evan Bensch (SO). Both teams were quiet offensively through the 5th inning. The Lions were able to push 4 runs across the plate in the 6th inning and another run the 7th inning. The score after the 7th inning was (7-0). The Bears were not able to break through offensively in game one of the series, falling to Lions 7-0.
 
Game 2
 
The second game was very similar to the opener of the series. The Lions were able to jump out to an extensive lead after the first, scoring 8 runs. The Bears were not able to push a run across the plate until the 5th inning of game 2. The run came off the solo home run by Austin Thomas (1). Heading into the top of the 6th inning the game remained (8-1). The Bears bats showed life in the last two inning scoring three more runs, however the Lions were able to knock in 6 runs of their own in the last two innings of the game leaving the final score (14-4).

Game 3
 
In the final game of the series the Bears jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning as Patrick Overstreet scored on a Jackson Meadors' single.
 
Gregory Elder Jr. struck out the first 8 batters he faced in the game.
 
The Lions broke through with 2 runs in the bottom half of the 4th inning gaining the lead. (2-1). They also scored another run in the bottom of the 5th inning, the final score of the game was (3-1).
 
Notes
Gregory Elder Jr. pitched 6.0 inning for the Bears allowing 3 runs, 1 BB and recorded 11K tieing his career high in strikeouts.
