CLEVELAND, Ga. (February 9, 2026) – On Monday, Truett McConnell University Baseball junior Ryan Coughanour and Softball freshman Rylee Walker earned Appalachian Athletic Conference weekly honors for Week 2.
 
Junior Ryan Coughanour was named AAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week after a dominant performance on the mound in a series win over Defiance College (Ohio). Coughanour combined for 7.0 scoreless innings across two appearances, allowing just four hits while striking out nine batters with zero walks. This is his first weekly honor of the season.
 
Freshman Rylee Walker earned AAC Softball Player of the Week honors following an outstanding week at the plate for the Lady Bears. Walker highlighted her performances by hitting for the cycle in a win over Talladega on February 5 by recording a single, double, triple, and home run in the same game. Walker is the first Lady Bear to record the cycle in TMU Softball program history. She batted .471 for the week with eight hits, including four extra-base hits, driving in multiple runs and providing consistent offensive production that fueled the Lady Bears' success. This is her first weekly honor of the season.
 
TMU Baseball is set to compete at home on Tuesday, February 10 against Toccoa Falls College at 3:00 p.m., while TMU Softball will travel on Friday, February 13 to the College of Coastal Georgia for a doubleheader match-up at 12:30 p.m.
