CLEVELAND, Ga. (September 4, 2025) – The Truett McConnell University men's and women's cross-country teams are set to begin their 2025 season on Friday, September 5 at the Bruins XC Night Classic in Greenville, S.C.
 
The men's team will be returning graduate student Connor Morgan for his final season with the Bears, along with sophomore Andrew Nix. TMU had an eventful season, finishing in sixth at the AAC Conference Championship out of 11 teams. Morgan led the way for the Bears last season, featuring a personal best time at the AAC Conference Championship in the 8K race. The women's team will be returning senior Autumn Shepherd and junior Naomi Stonesifer. The Lady Bears also had a successful season, finishing in sixth place out of 12 teams at the AAC Conference Championship. Both the men's and women's team will be welcoming eight incoming Bears and Lady Bears to the program.
