Women's T&F finishes sixth at AAC Championship, Jones named Field Athlete of the Year

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 19, 2025) – On Thursday-Saturday, the Truett McConnell University women's track and field team traveled to compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament hosted by Milligan University, where the Lady Bears finished sixth of 13 teams after recording a team score of 76 points.
 
Senior Grace Jones was featured earning the title of AAC Field Athlete of the Year after being crowned the individual champion in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 47.36m, while also earning a third-place finish in the javelin throw (33.68m) and fifth place finishes in both the discus (36.65m) and shot-put (11.38m) throws. Myesha Hall was also featured being crowned the individual champion in the long jump with a mark of 6.05m, and in the 100m dash with a time of 11.85. Hall also recorded a fourth-place finish in the triple jump (11.31m). Autumn Shepherd earned an Individual championship title in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.27.
 
UP NEXT
TMU T&F will head to Fayetteville, Arkansas on Friday April 25, to compete in the John McDonnell Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas.
