COLUMBIA, S.C. (April 18-20, 2024) – On Thursday-Saturday, the Truett McConnell University women's track and field team traveled to compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and field championship, hosted by Columbia International University. The Lady Bears were featured finishing in fifth place overall out of 13 teams after recording 89 team points, featuring seven podium finishes including two individual championship titles.Â

In the field events,
Myesha Hall was featured finishing in first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.99m and second place in the triple jump with a mark of 12.02m.
Katilyn Babb also showed her grit in the field, collecting a first-place finish in the javelin throw (38.85m), while
Grace Jones finished third in the shot put throw (11.33m)

In the running events, Hall was featured finishing in second in the 200m dash with a time of 24.99 seconds.
Kyleigh Johnson also secured a second-place finish in the 400m hurdles, while the 4x400m relay team featuring Hall, Johnson,
Sarah Owen and
Autumn Shepherd finished third (4:08.73).

Up next, TMU will travel to Cleveland, Tenn. to compete at the Lee University Last Chance Meet, set for Friday, May 10.
