DALTON, Ga. (April 1, 2025) – On Monday – Tuesday, the No. 15 Truett McConnell University women's golf team traveled to compete in the Dalton State Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Dalton State College. The Lady Bears had a strong showing finishing third overall out of 13 teams with a final score of 623 through two rounds. No. 3 SCAD-Savannah was featured being crowned invite champions while No. 4 Dalton State finished runners-up. TMU was featured besting multiple ranked teams including No. 20 Coastal Georgia who finished fourth, No. 9 SCAD-Atlanta who finished fifth, No. 18 Loyola University who finished sixth, No. 19 Taylor University who finished seventh, No. 5 Marion University who finished eighth, No. 14 William Carey University who finished ninth, and No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan University who finished tenth.
"I am so proud of the hard work the girls have been putting in over the last few weeks," said Head Coach
Steve Patton. "That hard work showed up this week and allowed us to beat multiple nationally ranked teams. We are starting to peak at the right time!"
Most notable,
Audrey Grace Holder finished tied in sixth place out of 76 golfers after recording an impressive 76 in both rounds.
Sylken-Leigh November was featured finishing in 11
th after recording a 77 in rounds one and two, while
Jala Stamey finished tied in 15
th with a 78 and 77 and
Gracie Doke finished T36th (77, 85). Individually,
Nicoline Eide finished T29
th after recording an 81 and 79.
Up next, the Lady Bears will travel to Hickory, Tennessee on Monday, April 7 – Tuesday, April 8 to compete in the Cumberland U Music City Invite hosted by Cumberland University at the hermitage Golf Course.
