Lady Bears End Season at NAIA Women's National Championship

TMU finished 13th overall, its highest result since 2022.

YPSILANTI, Mich. - Truett McConnell women's golf completed competition at the NAIA Women's National Championship from May 19-22.
 
TMU made the post-second round cut with 14 other teams, finalizing as the 13th best team in the NAIA. The team recorded a +15 mark in the first round before back-to-back +40 scores in rounds two and three resulted in 29.03 points awarded. It marks the first time it has made the cut since the women's championship in 2023, and its highest final ranking since 2022, where Truett finished seventh overall.
 
Individually, junior Brianna Bassett was the top athlete for the Lady Bears, finishing 36th overall with a mark of +20. Senior Sylken November and junior Nicoline Elde also placed 56th and 62nd place, respectively. November scored +25 while Elde posted a mark of +26.
 
Other Lady Bears who competed in the meet included junior Abby Bryant, who placed 67 with a +28 score and  freshman Tynley Cotton, who's mark of +30 resulted in 74th place.
