Reed Earns AAC Offensive Player of the Week Honor

CLEVELAND, Ga. (December 8, 2025) - On Monday, junior Brinkley Kate Reed of the Truett McConnell University women's basketball team was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season.

Reed turned in an outstanding offensive performance, averaging 28.5 points per game as the Lady Bears went 1-1 on the week. She recorded 30 points during TMU's 73-65 battle with Union Commonwealth and showcased her skill on the floor, shooting 51.5 percent (17-of-33) from the field and 40 percent (6-of-15) from beyond the arc. Reed was also dominant at the free-throw line, connecting on 17 of 19 (89.5 percent) attempts. This marks her first weekly honor of the season. 

The Lady Bears are set to host AAC opponent Columbia College on Wednesday, December 10, inside the Benjamin F. Brady Arena. Tip off set for 5:30 p.m.
