POTTERSVILLE, NY(October 4, 2025) - On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men's and women's cross country teams traveled to compete in the Huskies Invitational hosted by the Word of Life Bible Institute, where the Bears and Lady Bears were crowned invite champions after recording multiple top finishes.

Most notable, Riley Stevens was seen individually earning a first place finish out of 31 athletes with a time of 24:08.3. Isabella Laughton was featured following closely behind with a runner-up finish with a time of 24:48.5. Naomi Stonesifer was featured finishing in fifth while Yazmeilyn Diaz finished in sixth. On the men's side, Connor Morgan led the way finishing runner-up out of 45 athletes with a time of 28:13. Gibson Horner followed in fifth place (28.59), while Cade McNeill finished in seventh (29.38).

The Bears and Lady Bears will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina on Saturday, October 18 to compete in the Upstate Invite hosted by the University of South Carolina Upstate.
