CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 27, 2025) – The Truett McConnell University women's basketball team is set to begin their 2025-26 season Tuesday, October 28, on the road as the Lady Bears face Talladega College at 5:00 p.m. (CST). 
 
The Lady Bears finished the 2024-25 season with an overall record of 12-17, 9-13 AAC, and will be welcoming back senior Destinee Lovejoy, and juniors Carsyn Ward, Brinkley Reed, Ava Queen, Madison Aguilera, and Kayleigh Kelley. The Lady Bears made an appearance at the AAC tournament as the No. 9 seed and had five players receive AAC All-Academic Honors. The Lady Bears roster will feature ten newcomers, including a 2025 transfer from Catawba Valley Community College, Caleeya Duke. 
 
The Lady Bears home opener will be held on Saturday, November 1, against Toccoa Falls College, with tip-off set for 2:00 p.m.
