MARIETTA, Ga. (January 28, 2023)—The Truett McConnell University women's track & field team traveled on Saturday to compete at the Life U Indoor-Outdoor Challenge, hosted by Life University.

Leading the way for the lady Bears in the running events was the 4x400m relay team (Esther Nakanwagi, Trenyonna Allen, Sarah Owen and Myesha Hall) who placed first with a time of 4:23.11. In the 60m hurdles, Autumn Shepard placed second with a time of 11.04, followed by Allen in third (11.05). In the 400m, Owen secured a fourth-place finish with a time of 1:04.59. 

In the field events, Grace Jones placed third in shot-put with a mark of 11.47m. In the triple jump, Shepard placed third (9.59m, followed by Cady Copous in fourth (9.23m). In the long jump, Hall was featured placing fifth overall (5.20m).

Up next, the Lady Bears travel to Central, S.C. on Saturday, March 4, to compete in the Susan Rouse Invitational.
