CENTRAL, S.C. (April 1–2, 2022)—The Truett McConnell women's track & field team traveled to compete at the SWU "GottaRun" Invitational, hosted by Southern Wesleyan University on Friday-Saturday.

Leading the way for the Lady Bears in the running events was Savannah Campbell who finished first in the 5000m race with a time of 18:40.78. Tenae Grigsby followed placing second in the 400m hurdles (1:06.50). The 4x400m relay team finished third featuring Grigsby, Esther Nakenwagi, Myesha Hall, and Trenyonna Allen (4:08.44).

In the field events, Katilyn Babb finished first in Javelin, throwing a mark of 39.70m. Hall placed second in the triple jump (11.33m), followed by Addison Wilson who placed fourth in Pole Vault(2.90m). Rounding out TMUs results, Grace Jones finished fourth in Shot Put with a mark of 11.81m.

Up next, the Lady Bears travel to Durham, N.C. on Thursday, April 7 – Saturday, April 9 to compete at the Duke Invitational hosted by Duke University.
