GAINESVILLE, Ga. (Oct. 1, 2020) – The Truett McConnell University men's cross country team will open their 2020 season at the North Hall Tri Meet, hosted by Brenau University, on Friday night.

"I'm very excited about the upcoming season for the men's team," Head Coach Jarret Holland said. "Last year was a struggle for us to find consistent speed out of our top five runners, but I feel like that will not be an issue at all this year.

We're very fortunate to have senior Seth Ledford and junior Owen Nobles back to help lead the team. Those guys have worked hard to come into camp in shape and it's shown in the early stages of the season. We're also very fortunate to have two of the top runners in our state joining the ranks of our program in Riley Thornton and Marco Flores."

The Bears only graduated one runner, Daniel Redding, and took on two incomers. Truett's schedule includes four total invitationals before the AAC Conference Championship in November, including a trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for the Seminole Valley Stampede.
