Box Score 3 Cleveland, Ga. - The Bears entered Friday and Saturday's AAC series against Milligan with a 8-7 overall record and a 0-3 conference record. With rainy weather throughout the week keeping the Bears off the field, they were well-rested and ready to play.
Game 1
The Bears were not able to improve their record in game on the of the three game set. The Milligan College Buffaloes jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the 2nd inning. The week break from playing would continue to show throughout the rest of the game. The Bears would drop the first game of the series to Milligan by a score of 15-4.

Game 2
Beginning Game 2, both starting pitchers would battle it out through the first 4 innings of the game. The Bears broke through with a run in the bottom of the 5th inning when
Austin Thomas drove in
Josh Johnston, who had reached on a dropped 3rd strike, with a double. This run ended up being the deciding factor for the game.
Continuing great form, Gregory Elder would only need the one run from the Bear's offense to earn the 1-0 win. He would throw a complete game as he shutout Milligan's offense by striking out nine batters and scattering only five hits.
Game 3
With the weekend series tied 1-1, the Bears would look to protect home field. The Bears got on the scoreboard first earning two runs in the 1st inning off a
Jackson Meadors single up the middle with two outs.
Barton ran into trouble in the in the top of the 5th inning when Milligan hit a two run homerun, making the score 3-2. The Bears were able to give Barton some cushion in the 6th inning as they pushed across another pair of runs.
The Bears would keep Milligan off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game and finished Game 3 with 5-2 win. Barton pitched complete game, striking out five batters to secure the series for the Bears.
The Bears improved their record to 10-9 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The Bears will be back in action Tuesday, March 13th, against Southern Wesleyan at home.
