Box Score CLEVELAND, GA. |    The Truett McConnell women's basketball team finished the 2018 season with a bang coming out on top against Bluefield College on Saturday, 55-45. With three players to finish in double figures, the Lady Bears were able to pull out a victory on senior night in the Bear Cave. TMU finished out the season 3-23 in AAC play and 5-23 overall.  

Head Coach Tiek Fields complimented his team, " We finished the season on a good note and on senior day getting the win for our only senior, Anna Murr, was a good way for her to close her chapter as a Lady Bear. We played some really good defense down the stretch and rebounded the ball when we needed too. Defense is what helped us secure the win today. I couldn't be more proud of this team for showing that they will come out to play and compete every game."

The Bears and Rams battled early on going point for point before Anna Murr knocked down a mid jumper to send the Lady Bears into the locker room down by three, 27-24. Coming out of the locker room, TMU's defense stepped up big time, keeping Bluefield under 20 points the remainder of the game. The Lady Bears played two big quarters outscoring the rams 15-10 in the third period and 16-8 in the final frame to seal the win.  

Bralise Reese led the Lady Bears offensively with 11 points while teammates Anna Murr and Sierra Kendall both contributed with 10 a piece respectfully.
