CLEVELAND, GA. |
The Bear's came out on top to open the 2018 season behind the bats of Austin Bishop and Andrew Fogarty, who combined to accumulate 7 of the Bear's 13 hits. Andrew Fogarty's received his 1st HR of the season. The Bears found themselves in a hole going into the latter part of the game as Toccoa put up a 5 spot in the top of the 5th inning. This included a walk-off single through the four-hole by the aforementioned Austin Bishop.

Freshmen, Craig Barton and Jacob Johns, threw the 6th through the 8th only giving up 2 runs. Gregory Elder Jr. came in late in the stretch and held the Eagle's at bay in the 9th with 3 electric strike outs.
