High School: All-Region team member and one of the top pitchers in the state…senior season went 5-3 on the mound with a 1.68 earned run average…struck out 105 batters for a third place state ranking…limited opponents to .178 batting average…First Team All-Region…twice named high school’s Cy Young Award for best pitcher…second all-time at Prince Avenue with 209 career strikeouts…threw two one-hitters including a one-hit 17 strikeout performance against Athens Christian High School…played summer ball with the Denny Pritchett Jayhawks
