WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. | The Truett McConnell wrestling team fell Tuesday afternoon on the road at No. 15 University of the Cumberlands, 43-6, in Mid-South Conference action.

The Bears got two impressive wins over the Patriots. Joe Hulen got the Bears on the scoreboard with three points after his 5-3 decision over Cameron Nolan. Then, at 285, Jeff Chandler picked up a 4-1 decision over Devin Morrow. The Bears were very competitive in all other matches, highlighted by a 14-10 decision at 174 for Tavion Askew.

TMU will hit the mats again against Brewton-Parker in Cleveland on January 18 in, what is being promoted as, the Battle for the Belt. The first match of the night will start at 6 p.m. in the Bear Cave.
