VALDOSTA, Ga. (February 17, 2026) – On Monday-Tuesday, the Truett McConnell University Men's Golf team traveled to compete in the Kinderlou Forest Spring Invitational hosted by Dalton State College, where the Bears recorded a seventh-place team finish out of eight teams after recording a team total of 911 through three rounds. No. 12 the College of Coastal Georgia was featured being crowned invite champions.Â

"Our men have shown improvement since the fall," said Director of Golf
Steve Patton. "We welcomed
Luke Iverson to the program this spring and he rewarded us with an even par three-day total and made the All-Tournament Team. We are excited where he can lead our Men's program this spring. We are also extremely excited to play so close to home in Gainesville for our next tournament."

Luke Iverson led the way for the Bears finishing tied for fifth out of 43 golfers after recording a 73 in round one, an impressive 69 in round two and a 74 in round three, proving capable of securing a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Rhys Graham finished tied for 21
st (77, 74, 77), while
Landon Wells finished in 34
th (79, 77 76).

Up next, the Bears will travel to compete in the Brenau Golden Tiger Collegiate hosted by Brenau University at the Chattahoochee Golf Club Monday, March 2 – Tuesday, March 3.Â
