CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 31, 2025) – The Truett McConnell University wrestling team is set to begin their 2025-26 season on the road at the Patriot Open in Williamsburg Ky., on Saturday, November 1. 
 
The Bears closed the 2024-25 season on a strong note, finishing sixth overall at the AAC Championship with 47 hard-earned team points. Returning senior Phillip Terrell highlighted the postseason with a third-place finish in the 285-weight class to earn All-Conference honors, while graduate student Chase Bond placed fifth in the 157-weight class. TMU welcomes back 15 returners this season, along with 10 newcomers to the program.
  
The Bears home opener is scheduled for Saturday, November 8, against AAC opponent Montreat College, with match-time set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
