CLEVELAND, Ga. (November 9, 2022) – The (RV) Truett McConnell University wrestling team hosted No. 2 Life University for their home opener on Wednesday, inside the Harris Athletic Complex, where the Bear fell to a final score of 46-0.
Most notable, the night featured many nationally ranked match ups with four of TMU's wrestlers being nationally ranked going into the dual.
Senior
Brandon Navixay opened the night with a grueling 7-minute match that ultimately resulted in a 3-1 loss.
Leonel Silvestre followed with a hard-fought match in the 149-weight class, featuring Silvestre falling to a nail biting score of 1-0. Senior
Ethan Powell concluded the match for TMU in the 285 wight class, with Powell battling through all three rounds, but fell short to a score of 5-0.
