CLEVELAND, Ga. (Nov. 22, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University wrestling team picked up their first Appalachian Athletic Conference dual win of the season against West Virginia University- Institute of Technology on Friday night inside the TMU Bear Cave (31-24).

Brandon Navixay started the Bears out on the right foot with a big win at 125 (16-1). At 133, Jacob Taylor won in an extra fourth period (7-5) and Will Davidson recorded the Bears' third straight win at 141 (15-0). Sophomore Ian James, however, sparked a strong finish by TMU.
