Volleyball falls to North Greenville University
Box Score CLEVELAND, Ga. (TMSports) – Last night the Lady Bears volleyball team faced Division II opponent, North Greenville University. The Bears started off strong in the first game fighting neck and neck with the Tigers. The Tigers pulled away winning the first game 25-22. The Bears fought hard in the 2nd and 3rd set, but NGU powered back with a strong offense.
Hannah Simpson led the team in kills with six;
Brittany Foster hit .455 adding five more kills for the Bears.
Tarryn Long and
Jessica Vanegas added five kills each.
Jordan Malaier and Bri Keierleber combined for 25 assists.
"I was very pleased with how hard the girls fought. It's productive playing against tough opponents, because it forces us to play better. I look forward to playing the Tigers again this weekend," said head coach
Melody Tenney.
The Lady Bears travel to North Greenville University this weekend to participate in the NGU Tournament. They will face NGU again Friday night. On Saturday, they will compete against Benedict College and Johnson & Wales.
