Cleveland, GA - This past Friday night, October 17th, the Lady Bears faced Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) opponent Bluefield College in a conference match at home.
After winning the first game, the Bears made many unforced errors that allowed the Rams to win game two with a score of 14-25. Despite the Rams momentum, the Lady Bears battled point for point to solidify their victory in the next two sets, winning 25-23 and 24-26, respectively.
Leading the Bears offense was Freshman Outside Hitter
Hannah Simpson with 11 kills. Freshman
Tarryn Long and
Hayley Haskell each added 8 kills. Senior Middle Blocker
Jessica Epting also added 6 kills. Defensively,
Keri King led the way with 28 digs, while
Hayley Haskell chipped in 21.
