CLEVELAND, Ga. – Truett McConnell University women's volleyball has announced its schedule for the 2026 season.

Head coach
Joe Herrera enters his third year in his tenure with TMU. Last season, he finished with a 12-23 overall record with a 5-14 mark in conference play. The team fell one match short of the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament.

Two preseason scrimmages will occur before the start of the season which takes place on Aug. 29. The annual Alumni and Blue & White scrimmages will be on Friday, Aug. 14, at 6:30 p.m., and Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 6:30 p.m., respectively. The Lady Bears will host a double-header to begin the regular season with Bob Jones and Point University at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the Harris Athletic Complex.

From Sept. 4-5 is the Bear Bash Tournament hosted by TMU. The first day will feature matches against Baptist University of Florida, Brenau and Brewton-Parker Christian University. On day two is the tournament bracket which contains a quarterfinal, semifinal and final match.

The team starts a four-match road trip on Sept. 8 with the second meeting against Bob Jones in Greenville, S.C. before traveling to West Point, Ga. to play the second match vs. Point. The Lady Bears start AAC play in the second half of the slate with matches against Columbia College and Montreat on Sept. 12 and 15, respectively.

TMU hosts Brenau and Reinhardt in Cleveland for a weekend on Sept. 18 and 19. The week of Sept. 21-27 will bring a midweek conference match at Columbia International on Sept. 22 and a duo of weekend matches at home vs. Tennessee Wesleyan on Friday and Bryan on Saturday. The month of September ends with an evening match at Spartanburg Methodist with first serve at 6:30 p.m.

The October slate starts with three consecutive home matches featuring two weekend contests with Union Commonwealth and Johnson University and a following midweek vs. CIU. The team faces an 11 a.m. first serve at Milligan before returning to Cleveland to play Spartanburg Methodist at 6:30 p.m. A duo of road matches will greet the Lady Bears with Pikeville on Friday and Bluefield on Saturday morning on Oct. 16 and 17.

Truett plays tis last two home matches vs. Montreat on Wednesday, Oct. 20 and Columbia College on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Harris Athletic Complex.
Joe Herrera's group ends the regular season with an in-state road trip with Brenau on Friday, Oct. 30 and Reinhardt on Saturday, Oct. 31. The AAC Tournament will take place from Nov. 11-14.
