ACWORTH, Ga. (APRIL 29, 2026) – On Monday-Wednesday, the Truett McConnell women's golf team delivered a strong and resilient performance at the AAC Championship, finishing as runner-up at 73-over after three challenging rounds at Governors Towne Club.
With the new three-day, 54-hole format, the Lady Bears put themselves in contention early, sitting in second place after round one and holding that spot through round two. Despite difficult, rain-soaked conditions in the final round, TMU showed toughness and composure down the stretch to secure the runner-up finish. Walking all 54 holes on a demanding, hilly course, their endurance and conditioning proved to be a key factor.
Individually, Abby Bryant led the way with a standout performance, finishing tied for second at +10 (74-75-77), earning AAC Second Team All-Conference. Brianna Bassett rebounded from an opening-round 81 to shoot 73 in round two and close with a 77, earning herself AAC First Team All-Conference. Nicoline Eide added steady contributions with rounds of 76, 79, and 80.
