CLEVELAND, Ga. (September 8, 2025) – On Monday, the Truett McConnell University soccer programs earned two Appalachian Athletic Conference weekly honors, with
Danica Wittmann named Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week and
Pablo Farrona named Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Wittmann, the Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, continued her strong start to the season, tallying 10 saves in TMU's 0–0 draw against Southeastern University on September 3 and six saves in the Lady Bears' 3–1 victory over Montreat College on September 10. This marks Wittmann's second consecutive weekly honor of the season.
Farrona, the Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, tallied two goals in TMU's 4–0 win over Montreat College on September 6. His goals came within the opening 10 minutes of play, setting the tone for the Bears' dominant performance. This is Farrona's first weekly honor of the season.
TMU returns to action this week, with both the Bears and Lady Bears traveling to face Columbia College on Wednesday, September 10, for an Appalachian Athletic Conference mid-week match-up. Kick-off set for 4:00 p.m. (Men's) and 6:30 p.m. (Women's).
