WEST POINT, Ga. (September 7, 2025) – On Saturday-Sunday, the No. 16 Truett McConnell University women's golf team traveled to compete in the Skyhawks Fall Invitational hosted by Point University, where the Lady Bears were crowned invite champions out of nine teams after recording a two-day total of 614. RV Bethel (Tenn.) was featured finishing runners-up.
"The girls showed me a tremendous amount of perseverance and courage this weekend," said Director of Golf
Steve Patton. "We have been dealing with a lot of adversity early in the season and the Lord has sustained and bonded us through it all."
Most notable, freshman
Tynley Cotton was featured finishing tied for second place after shooting an impressive 72 in round one and a 79 in round two, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
Brianna Bassett and
Nicoline Eide followed closely behind Cotton, both finishing tied for sixth with Bassett shooting a 76 and 77, and Eide recording a 74 and 79.
Emilia Karlsson was featured recording an 11
th place finish with a 75 and 82.

The Lady Bears will travel to compete in the William Carey Collegiate hosted by William Carey University on Monday, September 21 – Tuesday, September 23 at the Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss.
