No. 16 Women's Soccer secures shutout at Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (September 10, 2025) – On Wednesday, the No. 16 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team traveled to face Columbia College for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, where the Lady Bears secured a 3–0 victory over the Koalas. TMU rises to an overall record of 4-0-1, 2-0 AAC.
 
PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Lady Bears seized early control in the 19th minute when Annabel Trauschke scored her first goal of the match. Trauschke struck again in the 32nd minute, doubling TMU's lead before halftime. In the second half, Peyton Brooks put the game out of reach, locking in the 3-0 win in the 77th minute. 
 
LEADERS
Trauschke led the way for TMU recording two goals while taking four shots, all on goal. Brooks followed with one goal, while Emma Unterrainer tallied three shots, two on goal. 
 
UP NEXT
The Lady Bears are back in action at home Wednesday, September 17 as they host No. 24 Tennessee Wesleyan University for an AAC match-up. Kick-off set for 7:00 p.m. inside the TMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex
