CLEVELAND, Ga. (September 1, 2025) – On Monday, the No. 21 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team swept the Appalachian Athletic Conference week two honors, with
Danica Wittmann named Defensive Player of the Week and
Annabel Trauschke named Offensive Player of the Week.
Wittmann, the Defensive Player of the Week, collected nine saves across the opening week of play, including three in TMU's 1-0 shutout against Georgia Gwinnett College. This award marks her first weekly honor of the season.
Trauschke, the Offensive Player of the Week, recorded two goals and one assist on the week, including game-winning goals in both the Lady Bears victory over GGC on August 26 (1-0) and against Faulkner University on August 30 (4-1). This is also her first weekly honor of the season.
TMU returns to action on Wednesday, September 3 for the Lady Bears home opener against Southeastern University. Kick-off set for 7:00 p.m. inside the TMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.
