ROME, Ga. (February 22, 2025) – On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University women's lacrosse team traveled to face Shorter University in a non-conference match-up where the Lady Bears suffered a loss, 19-4. TMU falls to an overall record of 0-2.Â

Shorter started off hot scoring four goals in the first four minutes of the first quarter.
Shelby Nail followed giving TMU their first goal of the day, unassisted. The remainder of the first and second quarters saw the Hawks add eight more goals to the board, forcing the Lady Bears to work from behind at the half, 12-1. In the third quarter, Nail went on to score two more goals in the third quarter giving the Lady Bears a glimmer of hope in the game. Nail scored the fourth and final goal for the Lady Bears in the fourth quarter, with SU recording three more of their own. Final score, 19-4.Â
