CLEVELAND, Ga. (November 21, 2025)– The Truett McConnell University women's soccer team continues its postseason run as the Lady Bears host Cumberland University in the NAIA Women's Soccer Second Round tomorrow, Saturday, November 22, inside the TMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex with kick-off set for 2:00 p.m.
This matchup carries historic significance, as it is the first time in program history that TMU will host a national tournament game. The Lady Bears earned the No. 10 overall seed and were selected as a host, putting them in a two-team bracket for this round. TMU enters tonight's game at 18–1–1, coming off a dominant season in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. The team recently finished as AAC Season Champions and Tournament runner-up and closed the year ranked No. 12 in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll, marking the program's eighth consecutive appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
Key players to watch for TMU include Annabel Trauschke, a senior and driving force in the attack who was named AAC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year while also earning the Golden Boot.
