CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 8, 2025) – On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University's men's soccer team hosted Columbia International University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, securing a dominant 5–0 victory. TMU improves to an overall record of 8-3-1, 6-3-1 in AAC play.

PLAY-BY-PLAY
In the first half, the Bears struck early in the 5th minute as Jovica Lazarevic scored off an assist from Nico Rudolph, putting TMU on the board (1-0). Later in the 18th minute, James Aspinall added a second goal, set up by Willy Wustrich, to give the Bears a 2–0 cushion heading into halftime.

The second half saw TMU continue their offensive pressure as Pablo Farrona found the net off an assist from Lazarevic in the 60th minute of regulation. Just five minutes later, Marco Mandelka scored unassisted to push the lead to 4–0. The Bears capped things off in the 88th minute with Noa Weigand delivering the final goal.

LEADERS
Lazarevic led the way with one goal and one assist, while Farrona, Aspinall, Mandelka and Weigand all scored one goal. Rudolph and Wustrich each contributed one assist a piece.
