WALESKA, Ga. (October 15, 2025) – On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University men's soccer team battled Reinhardt University in an Appalachian Athletic Conference road matchup, where the Bears rallied but ultimately fell 4–3 in a competitive, high-scoring contest. TMU moves to 8-4-1 overall, 6-2-1 in AAC play.
 
The Eagles struck early with two goals in the opening minutes to take a 2–0 lead. TMU responded quickly as Marco Mandelka converted a penalty kick in the 15th minute to cut the deficit in half (2–1). The Eagles extended their advantage again in the 27th minute, but TMU answered with a goal from Nico Rudolph in the 38th minute, assisted by Willy Wustrich, to make it 3–2 heading into halftime.
 
Early in the second half, Nick Jeising capitalized in the 49th minute to even the score 3–3, giving the Bears new life. Despite the comeback effort, Reinhardt earned a penalty kick in the 79th minute and converted, retaking the lead 4–3. A last chance effort by TMU in the final minutes, attempted to change the outcome of the game, but ultimately could not connect falling to a final score, 4-3.
 
LEADERS
Mandelka, Rudolph, and Jeising led the way for TMU each recording one goal apiece, while Wustrich followed with a solo assist.
