No. 13 TMU remains perfect in AAC play with shutout over UPIKE

CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 4, 2025) – On Saturday, the No. 13 Truett McConnell University's women's soccer team delivered a dominant Appalachian Athletic Conference performance at home, against the University of Pikeville, 6–0. The Lady Bears remain undefeated at 9-0-1 overall 7-0-0 AAC.

PLAY-BY-PLAY
In the first half, both teams battled back and forth when TMU broke the standoff in the 27th minute when Annabel Trauschke converted from Abby Sheriff and Saige Peterson. TMU did not let up adding a second goal in the 35th minute, when Ariana Marfell scored off a good ball by Trauschke. Shortly after, Isabella Hodson added a third goal before halftime, also assisted by Trauschke.

The second half saw the Lady Bears extend their lead. In the 60th minute, Hodson struck again with an assist from Erin Ward. Just four minutes later, she completed her hat trick with a goal from Celiane Pereira's assist. TMU capped the night in the 70th minute when Eden Greenfield finished a play set up by Sheriff to make it 6–0.

LEADERS
Trauschke led the way with one goal and two assists. Hodson followed with three goals, while Marfell and Greenfield tallied one goal a piece. Sheriff was featured recording two assists while Ward and Pereira had one assist a piece. 

UP NEXT
The Lady Bears will remain at home on Wednesday, October 8, as TMU hosts Columbia International for an AAC match-up inside the TMU Soccer Complex. Kick-off set for 4:30 p.m.
