Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | TMU Athletic Communications

No. 13 Women’s Soccer extends win streak to eight

CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 8, 2025) – On Wednesday, the No. 13 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team hosted Columbia International University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up where the Lady Bears recorded a 3–1 victory. TMU extends its overall record to 10-0-1, 8-0 AAC. 

PLAY-BY-PLAY
In the first half, the Bears struck first. In the 42nd minute when Eden Greenfield scored off a blocked shot to put TMU ahead 1–0. Early in the second half, the Bears doubled their lead when Celiane Pereira converted a header off a free kick in the 59th minute to make it 2–0. Columbia International got on the board in the 80th minute cutting the deficit to one goal, but just two minutes later, Annabel Trauschke restored the two-goal lead for TMU with a goal assisted by Marisol Esparza, sealing the 3–1 win for the Lady Bears.

LEADERS
Greenfield, Pereira and Trauschke led the way recording one goal apiece while Esparza tallied a solo assist. 

UP NEXT
The Lady Bears will host the No. 4 University of the Cumberlands on Saturday, October 11 for a non-conference contest. Kick-off is set for 4:30 p.m. inside the TMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex.
