CLEVELAND, Ga. (September 7, 2024) – The No. 14 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team hosted Kentucky Christian University in their Appalachian Athletic Conference opener, inside the TMU Soccer Complex. The Lady Bears were a force to be reconned with as they scored 17 goals and tallied 54 shots in total to secure the win (17-0).

PLAY-BY-PLAY
TMU wasted no time as they recorded the first goal of the day shot by
Ashley Johnson, assisted by
Eliska Dvorakova. Johnson could not be stopped as she scored once again in the third minute of play, followed by a goal from
Amayia Lukie who found the back of the net off a ball from Dvorakova.
Lindsey Fowler joined in on the action as she recorded a goal of her own in the 21
st minute of play, assisted by Lukie. Fowler stayed hot in the box as she earned a second goal to put the score 5-0. Dvorakova made her mark with two goals back-to-back, with the second goal assisted by Lukie, followed by
Eva Seidel who recorded her first goal as a Lady Bear, assisted by
Annabel Trauschke. The Lady Bears went on to score seven more goals, with
Peyton Brooks and
Grace Montgomery closing out the final minutes of the game for the Lady Bears with individual goals (17-0).

LEADERS
Most notable, Johnson and Dvorakova individually earned four goals on the day, along with Dvorakova  tallying two assists.Fowler had a day with two goals and four assists, while Lukie had two goals and two assists.
