LAURINBURG, N.C. (September 28, 2024) - The No. 24 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team traveled to compete against Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent St. Andrews University on Saturday, where the Lady Bears held nothing back as they secured the win with a score of 6-0.

Right from the start, TMU took control of the field in the first minute with a goal by Grace Montgomery, assisted by Ruffa Meger. Eliska Dvorakova followed the action in the ninth minute with a goal of her own, assisted by Marisol Esparza, while Dvorakova hit the board with back-to-back shots in the 24th minute and the 26 minute, assisted by Erin Ward (4-0). Ashley Johnson capped off the first half with a shot that found the back of the net in the 32nd minute, assisted by Lindsey Fowler. The second half saw the Lady Bears slow down in speed, but remained sharp on defense, allowing the Knights only two chances at goal. Johnson made the final move of the game in the 83rd minute, resulting in a victory for TMU with a score of 6-0.
LEADERS
Most notable, Dvorakova led the way with a hat trick of three goals, along with tallying eight shots, seven on goals. Johnson added two goals and seven shots, five on goal, while Montgomery had one goal of her own.
