LEBANON, Tenn. (August 27, 2024) - The No. 13 women's soccer team traveled to compete in a non-conference match-up on Tuesday against No. 10 Cumberland University, where the Lady Bears fell to the sharp shooting Phoenix with a final score of 7-1. 

Cumberland struck quick with three goals in the first half, while adding three more goals at the start of the second half of regulation (0-6). TMU was forced to work under pressure, capable of taking shots at goal. It wasn't until the 67th minute that the Lady Bears hit the board with their first and only goal by Amayia Lukie, assisted by Eliska Dvorakova. The Phoenix remained stout for the remainder of the half, resulting in a final score of 1-7. 

Up next, the Lady Bears travel to face No. 23 Southeastern University in Saturday, August 31. Kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.
