ACWORTH, Ga. (October 22, 2024) – On Monday-Tuesday, the No. 17 women's golf team traveled to compete in their final tournament of the season at the Appalachian Athletic Conference Fall Championships, where the Lady Bears ended on a high note with a runner-up finish out of nine teams with a team score of 927 through three rounds. "There are four extremely talented women's teams in the conference and currently three of them in inside the top 20 and the other receiving votes," said Head Coach Steve Patton. "I suspect there will be many more great tournaments against each other and it is highly possible for all four teams to make it to the national championship."

Holder was seen shooting a 76 through round one, a 73 in round two, and 78 in round three. "The girls impressed me today from top to bottom in the lineup. Not only did the top five girls perform well, but our individuals playing in the tournament finished seventh, 12th and 20th. All eight of our girls finished inside the top 20, representing our university well."
Brianna Bassett followed up in seventh overall after shooting a trifecta of 77s through all three rounds, while Emilia Karlsson finished in 12th after shooting an 82, 78, and 76.
